I originally had a cooler idea of trying to make Mandelbulb shaped lollipops, but I dropped this quickly after I realized the complexity of the mold required. I then pivoted to a Taiwan shaped lollipop, which would be a hit to sell to people in Taiwan and also have a flat base.
I played around with the concept and finally landed on a cel shaded/ low poly topographic Taiwan. I taught myself Rhino for this project. I enlisted my friend Benjamin to give me plenty of unpaid design advice, as well as PLA printing material to help me produce prototype molds. I eventually got it to a size I liked, poured a silicon mold, cooked the sugar, flavoring mix, and produced a passable final product.
I eventually made molds for the state Oregon, and started on Texas also. I still think this has legs as a business! if anyone wants to pick it up again, please email me lol
